(Riverside County Sheriff) Ralph Rivas Jr., 41, was arrested shortly after 10:30 p.m., Thursday May 23 on I-10 in Palm Desert. Someone reported an impaired driver about 9:45 p.m. Jennifer Way and Valley Road in http://cortrightlaw.com/location/palm-desert-attorney-office Coachella, and deputies tried to stop the vehicle. The driver sped north on Harrison Street, and deputies followed, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The chase went through La Quinta and Indio and onto I-10, where the driver surrendered and was arrested. No one was hurt and no collisions were reported. Eastbound traffic on I-10 was stopped for about 10 minutes while Rivas was arrested, according to the sheriff’s department.
